Preparing for Oral Defense

My portfolio has been submitted to the evaluators and the oral defense is in an hour or so. I spent some time Friday night preparing for the questions I expect to be asked. One of the things I did was re-read one of "2c"'s papers on grounded instructional strategies. I started sketching some notes and (in typical Becky fashion) quickly discarded pen and paper in favor of an Inspiration diagram. Sometimes I think I'm a little obsessive when I start these things. The next thing I knew, I was reaching for my Joyce, Weil, & Calhoun's Models of Teaching to flesh it out a bit more. In the end, I think I've got a pretty nice diagram representing how grounded instructional strategy selection works. I've turned it into a PDF file so anyone with Adobe Reader can read it.
