After you work through this lesson, please complete the following assignments.
Assignment 1: Post Your Draft and Peer EditIn this lesson, you will post a draft of your individual research paper for peer review. Please use Word or RTF file formats for your attachment. Please put the paper title in the subject line and offer an abstract for potential readers. Draft: Due mid-week You will peer edit someone else's paper. From the descriptions, please select a paper you would like to review. Reply to that message indicating that you will be reviewing that paper. Be sure to review one that has not yet been "claimed" for review so everyone benefits from a review. Follow the guidelines for peer editing presented in the Writing and Research Strand. You may decide to use the Comments feature of your word processor to mark up the file. After you complete your review, summarize your comments in narrative. Send the review (including an attachment if appropriate) to the author and a copy to your instructor. Peer Edits to Classmates: Due end-of-weekGradingPosting an editable version of your paper is worth 25 points. Your edits of your classmate's paper is worth another 50 points. Please take this very important task seriously. |
Assignment 2: Finish Group ProjectWork with your Expert group to put the finishing touches on your group's contribution to the class wiki on Teacher Leadership. Your group should probably talk about how you want to present your work to the Home groups. Be creative. |
