Assignment 1: Post Your Database Experience Report
Complete the Database Experience Exercise in the Writing and Research Strand of this lesson.
Response: Due mid-week
Report the results of your database experience to your classmates and what you think they mean. Be sure to include the search term you used, along with the number of hits you received in each instance.
Also, read one of the two full-text articles you retrieved and briefly summarize it for your classmates, letting them know how you are hoping it will fit with your research topic.

Replies to Classmates: Due end-of-week
Reply to two or more of your classmates. In your replies, you might want to offer alternative observations about the results of their experience, suggest search terms that might be more useful, or guide them to some of the research literature you found in your own search.

Grading
Your response is worth 8 points and your replies to your classmates is worth another 8 points.
Assignment 2: Submit Your Proposed Program of Study
Use the course planning guide to submit your planned program of study. Save the web page you get as a receipt for your own records and submit a copy to your professor via the Assignment Manager. Due end-of-week. Modify as needed to have it approved. Due end of next week.
Grading
Once approved, your program of study is worth 20 points.
