Useful Resources

The web is home to many useful resources you can use to create a PowerPoint presentation. It's impossible to list all of them here, but I've selected a few.

PowerPoint Templates

Presenter's University - This is my favorite PowerPoint related web site. The folks at PU add new templates every month. You can read articles by presentation professionals to increase your own skills. Sign up for their free newsletter if you'd like to be updated on new articles and templates as they are added to the site.

Graphicsland - Graphicsland provides free PowerPoint templates if you get bored with the standard fare.

Host Classroom Game Shows - Who Wants to be a Millionaire? Hollywood Squares and The Weakest Link. These templates were created and shared by Mark Damon.

Graphics & Clip Art

Barry's Clipart Server - This web site is famous! A massive collection of links to clip art sites.

Design Gallery Live - Microsoft has a searchable web site with thousands of clip art images you can use.

Ditto - An amazing search engine for photographs!

Copyright Info

Citing Internet Resources - This useful guide shows how to format bibliographic information for Internet resources.

Educators' Lean and Mean, No FAT Guide to Fair Use - This useful article clearly explains what is meant by Fair Use and offers a fun-to-take quiz on copyright.

Fair Use Guidelines for Educational Multimedia - This is the definitive guide to what is probably permitted and what is likely not permitted.
